Advanced laser, light, and clinical skin training for licensed beauty professionals, preparing you for Utah Master Esthetician licensure and careers in medical spas and dermatology practices.
Program Summary
Acaydia’s 600-hour Level II Master-Medical Aesthetics program is designed for students who hold a basic esthetics or cosmetology license, or who have completed 600 transferable esthetics hours. Offered at our NACCAS-accredited campus in Provo, Utah, the program prepares students to pursue master esthetician licensure through advanced medical esthetics training.
Students receive 100% in-person instruction and hands-on training with multiple laser platforms, medical-grade products, and professional technologies. Training includes laser hair removal, IPL skin rejuvenation, microneedling, advanced chemical peels, HydraFacial certification, and injectable and consultation assisting opportunities in a medical setting. Guest educators and instructors who work in the field bring current industry experience into the classroom.
Course fees are clearly published, with required training and standard certifications included. The curriculum is shaped by ongoing student feedback and prepares graduates to pursue opportunities in medical spas, dermatology offices, and plastic surgery practices. Common Questions
Do I need a license before I start?
Yes. Level II is for those who already hold a basic esthetics license or cosmetology license, or who have 600 hours of training from another state that Utah counts as basic esthetician hours under the previous law. That existing credential is what makes it the shorter route. If you are starting from scratch, the 1200-hour Master-Medical program combines Level I and Level II into one course.
What does the program cost?
$11,808.80 plus tax, all-inclusive: $10,000 tuition, $1,633.80 for student kits and texts, a $50 application fee, and a $125 registration fee. There are no hidden fees for required trainings. Course fees increase on January 1, 2027.
I trained somewhere else. Can I transfer in?
Yes, as long as you're not currently enrolled at another school. If you are, we'd encourage you to work out a path with them first. What transfers depends on your existing hours and license, so admissions will review your record with you before you commit to anything.
Can I use financial aid?
Yes. Acaydia is Title IV-eligible, so Pell Grants and Direct Loans are available to those who qualify. Our FAFSA school code is 041655. We also accept VA education benefits (the Post-9/11 GI Bill, Veteran Readiness and Employment, and Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance) and support through Utah vocational rehabilitation services.
What are the schedule options?
Four, all Monday to Friday. Two full-time: 8:30am to 4:45pm, or 1:00pm to 9:15pm. Two part-time: 8:30am to 12:15pm, or 5:30pm to 9:15pm.
How long does the Level II 600-Hour program take?
About 4 months full-time or 8 months part-time
What will I be qualified to do?
Level II prepares you for Utah Master Esthetician licensure, the credential medical spas, dermatology practices, and plastic surgery practices look for when hiring for advanced laser and clinical skin roles.
