Tuition, Plainly
How Much Does Esthetician School Cost in Utah?
Tuition at Acaydia includes more than most schools bundle in. Laser training, microneedling, dermaplaning, and certifications in Hydrafacial, Alastin, LightStim, and more are all part of your program, not add-ons billed later. When you're comparing tuition between schools, it's worth asking exactly what's included, not just the sticker price. Here's what to check before you compare our program with others.

What Is Usually Left Out
An advertised tuition figure and the amount you actually hand over are often two different numbers. When you compare schools, the gap usually hides in four places.
Certification Fees
Some schools bill certifications on top of tuition as you reach them. Acaydia's laser, microneedling, dermaplaning, and product certifications (Hydrafacial, Alastin, LightStim, and more) are included in the tuition figures above. Always ask which certifications are included in the quoted tuition price and which are not, the answer often explains a gap of several thousand dollars between two schools.

Kits and Texts
Products, tools and books are frequently quoted separately from tuition. On a medical-esthetics course, that gap can be significant, and the real question is whether the kit actually equips you for the work. Some schools' kits fall short, leaving students to buy more tools mid-program. Acaydia's kit and text cost is included in the tables above, and it's built to cover what your training actually requires.
Licensing and Exam Costs
State licensing and examination fees are paid to the state rather than to the school, so they sit outside any school’s tuition. Budget for them separately wherever you enroll.

Equipment Access
Training on one laser is not the same as training on several. Ask how many machines students actually use, whether advanced modalities cost extra, and how much of the training is hands-on rather than observed.
Tuition is a large investment either way. Just make sure what's advertised is what you'll actually pay, and check for the four gaps above before you compare.

Common Questions
How much does esthetician school cost in Utah?
At Acaydia, $19,522.32 plus tax for the 1200-hour Master-Medical program, or $11,808.80 plus tax for the 600-hour Level II program. Both totals include application and registration fees, tuition, kits and texts. Comparable medical-esthetics programs in Utah County broadly run from the mid-teens to around twenty thousand dollars, though what each figure includes varies.
Why is one program so much cheaper?
Because it is half the hours and assumes you already hold a credential. The 1200-hour program prepares you for licensure as a Master Esthetician without any prior training ; the 600-hour Level II program builds on a basic esthetics license, a cosmetology license, or 600 transferable hours from another state or school.
Are there costs on top of the total?
Not from us for expected trainings and certifications. Sales tax applies to kits and texts, and state licensing and examination fees are paid to the state rather than to the school, so budget for those separately wherever you enroll. There is also a $500 facilities deposit due upon acceptance that is fully refundable when you graduate.
Can financial aid cover course fees?
Acaydia is Title IV approved, so Pell Grants and Direct Loans are available to those who qualify. Our FAFSA school code is 041655. We also accept VA education benefits including the Post-9/11 GI Bill, Veteran Readiness and Employment, and Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance. W also accept support from the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation and Workforce Services.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. You can pay in full or set up an in-house payment plan, and scholarships can be applied toward tuition.
