FOR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES
GI Bill and VA Benefits for Esthetics Training
Acaydia is approved in the VA's WEAMS directory and accepts Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA), the Post-9/11 GI Bill, and Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E). Here is how they sit alongside our programs, what to confirm with the VA before you enroll, and who to speak to at the school.
How to Use Your Benefits Here
What you are entitled to, and how much of your training it covers, is determined by the VA based on your service record and not by the school. These three steps are the order most students find easiest.
Step One
Confirm Your Eligibility
Eligibility and benefit level are set by the VA based on your eligibility category. Start at va.gov/education to check what you qualify for before you make any decisions about a program.
Step Two
Request Your Certificate of Eligibility
The VA issues a Certificate of Eligibility confirming your entitlement. You will need it before any benefit can be applied to your enrollment.
Step Three
Bring It to Financial Aid
Send your Certificate of Eligibility to our Financial Aid office on 801-980-3916 or [email protected], and we will go through how it applies to your chosen program, and what it covers.
Benefit amounts are set by the VA, not by Acaydia. Nothing on this page is a determination of your entitlement. Confirm your eligibility and benefit level directly with the VA at va.gov/education before you enroll anywhere.

Other Support You May Qualify For

VA education benefits are not the only route, and they can sit alongside others. Acaydia is Title IV approved, so Pell Grants and Direct Loans are available to those who qualify. Our FAFSA school code is 041655.
We also accept support from the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation and from Workforce Services, and scholarships can be applied toward tuition. If your benefit does not cover the full cost, an in-house payment plan can cover the balance.
Our Financial Aid office will map out which of these you can combine, and in what order, before you commit to anything.

Common Questions
Does Acaydia accept the GI Bill?
Yes. Acaydia is approved in the VA’s WEAMS directory and accepts the Post-9/11 GI Bill, Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) and Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA). Our Financial Aid office handles VA benefits: call 801-980-3916 or email [email protected] about applying yours to a specific program.
How much of my training will it cover?
That depends on your eligibility category and is determined by the VA, not the school. Check your entitlement at va.gov/education, then bring your Certificate of Eligibility to our Financial Aid office and we will work through what it covers for the program you want.
Can I combine VA benefits with federal financial aid?
Acaydia is Title IV approved, so Pell Grants and Direct Loans are available to those who qualify, and our FAFSA school code is 041655. How the two interact depends on your circumstances, so our Financial Aid office will map it out with you rather than guess.
What if I am not eligible for VA benefits?
There are other routes. We accept support from the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation and from Workforce Services, scholarships can be applied toward tuition, and you can pay in full or set up an in-house payment plan.
Which program should I choose?
If you do not already hold an esthetics license, the 1200-hour Master-Medical program takes you from the beginning through to master-medical training. If you already hold a basic esthetics or cosmetology license, or 600 transferable hours from another state, the 600-hour Level II program is the shorter route.
Is Acaydia a Yellow Ribbon school?
No. Acaydia does not participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program. Our Financial Aid office can walk you through what your VA benefit covers and your options for any remaining balance.
Who do I talk to about this?
Our Financial Aid office handles VA education benefits: call 801-980-3916 or email [email protected]. Acaydia’s School Certifying Official is Tyler Perdue, our COO. A campus tour is a good place to bring these questions in person.
